Edwardians loved their puffy sleeves (almost as much as me), and this beautiful Edwardian era Eton jacket really has some fabulous ones.
You may have seen these short jackets referred to in catalogs and patterns of the era as "Eton jackets", but why?
Apparently it is a carryover from a style of boys' school uniform at Eton College in England, when younger students were made to wear short jackets and upperclassmen wore longer ones.
This piece as gorgeous embroidery and showstopping sleeves. Faux buttons on the front and two hook and eye closures, one each at the top and bottom.

Measurements taken with garment laid flat, double where appropriate:
11.5" across waist when hooked
16.5" armpit to armpit
13" long
14" between shoulder seams

Overall good condition with a few condition issues:
- Some splits in the taffeta in several places
- Wear to the edges of the garment where the silk is fraying
Wearable with extra care but likely best as a study/display piece.
